The fact is, everyone knows what these spas are, it’s a rub and tug and everyone from their 80 year old grandma to a 16 year old kid will recognize this. With all the recent attention plus potential to bump into people you know, the fear is more of a social stigma than anything. To some, maybe they don’t care but this is on a whole spectrum so we have guys that do care, which makes threads like this helpful for the population as a whole, on MP at least.

Again, this is a shame thing than a legal risk to the customer. There is no evidence of any.

Correct yes. Don’t think I’ve chimed in on that piece, as I’ve never said anything about a legal risk. But yes, more of a shame thing. Not that it never existed, I could bump into a friend at EBC last year vs last week. It just seems given all the attention right now, it makes sense to avoid until things cool off again, that’s all I’m trying to say

Lulu Villa is See You’s sister spa in Scarborough so those girls have options. Never been to Crystal.

Suko is the only spa in the plaza. That model (1 spa per plaza, or 2 if the plaza is bigger), will likely be what gets approved at the end of the day. “Keep it Discreet”. But EBC is the opposite of discreet so there needs to be some thinning out.

All I have done is stated the facts that LE is actively going around to each spa in the Richmond Hill area and that promoters are removing any trace of their ads online. If that makes you feel scared then that's on you. I am just raising awareness to the general public to make their own decisions.

So, I really have no interest in people repeating misinformation. Raising awareness would involve presenting facts, not distorting them to suit a particular narrative. Almost all these spas have started new threads, no one has removed any trace of their online advertising that I am aware of. By-law officers are not law enforcement officers, there is nothing criminal being addressed by the municipal officers.

I have banned the most obvious nervous nellie, not only because of repeated lies and distortions but because of calling another member a shill or promoter. It seems more likely that the accuser has some ulterior motive in spreading lies about the situation on EBC or in RH in general.

Hoping for intel here, actual facts or sightings or information, not rumours or opinions based on basic misunderstandings of the situation.

Would I like to see EBC adapt and continue being a one stop locale with lots of options? Yes I would. Selfishly because I believe markets should be free, morality is a personal decision, and several of the owners and ladies working there have earned my patronage and delivered value for money.

Suko is in the residential neighborhood, chances of them getting a Body Rub license is very slim. They can operate as a RMT clinic but all the girls must also have RMT licenses which is quite impossible. All they can do now is get one or two RMT lic holders on site and keep 2-3 girls as assistants like most RMT clinics do.

EBC.. I have a feeling the City wants to push out spas at 155 and 165 EBC . No Body Rub license for those spas there and 10 East Wilmot. They can still operate as RMT clinics so long as they have RMT on site. Just no body rub.

What is this, some sort of lame gaslighting? You were implying that there was actual legal risk for visiting the establishments. There is zero evidence of that.

Heard LE had put notices on some spas in New Market warning people the spas were not legal. If it gets to such a stage, I would not visit those spas because there is no excuse that I don't know the spa is not legitimate. I would still visit spas in RH unless they got to such a stage.

Imo got to give it a few days or weeks. Bylaw ain't gonna come out on the first day in case some shops "close" up. It's after the deadline when spa owners think nothing is happening and running business as usual, when bylaw will pay a visit.
