In every one of those pictures the weight is not on the leg over the neck. Check the image below that CLEARLY shows his left foot not firmly planted on the ground and his weight directly over the knee.

Yes she would have been if that is what happened. Now humour me on Marjorie Taylor Greene calling on prominent Democrats to be executed for Treason. Shouldn’t she be kicked out of Congress for that. I'm not familiar with what Greene said, but if she accused someone of Treason and the legal punishment is execution, then no it's not the same as inciting violence. If her accusation was frivolous, or just plain wrong, then she deserves the full weight of political judgment.

140lbs on a shoulder/back is uncomfortable, but will not kill you. Even the prosecution got away from that narrative because it was clear his knee wasn’t on his neck. They start calling it the “neck area”.

Again, I don't want to appear unfeeling, but the fact is that police deal with people who pretend to be subdued and then explode in violence all the time. I'm not an expert, but I believe they're trained to keep them subdued until it's safe to move them...whatever "safe" means. As I said in my first post on this thread, I don't know what the right legal outcome should have been. Clearly it seems to me that police training is sorely lacking if this can happen.

Floyd was in handcuffs, if he faked being unconscious and then sprang to life he would not get far before being gunned down. Training may be something to look at, but it is probably more important to do ongoing evaluations of police both for their conduct as well as their mental states. For example, if a cop becomes more generally agitated, maybe re-assign him to another post for a while, and then give him the option to return to his original post when and if he/she is ready.

This is a trial based on evidence. Any discussion on Maxine Waters is merely a deflection. Maxine Waters had no bearing on the outcome. If there is a argument otherwise that is for Chauvin’s lawyer to make a case in the appeal. If Maxine Waters did sway the jury, the case will be a mistrial. If she didn’t the verdict will be upheld.
