Client Doesn't Fit Into My Schedule

Angry clients because they cant get in as soon as they w
That's great you've done so well in such a relatively small amount of time
You don't have to work on everybody, you're not obliged to. They can't fit in with you, they can find someone else, it is not your problem. If they want to see you, they need to fit in with you. Being this busy validates you in the eyes of many people, you've nothing for 3 weeks, you must be good, therefore they must see you NOW. No, they can wait, like everybody else, they can plan in advance. The only time this doesn't work is if you want a career of people with chronic conditions, you get them through the condition, you don't see them again, unless they have a relapse, but most therapists want bread and butter regulars, with a few new clients to cope with natural demand waxing and waning.
You will have slower times (some people it's winter when people won't go out doors, some people it's summer when there are so many other activities available, sometimes it's just Thanksging to New Year with people catching up from the holidays, then winding down again. Sometimes the flu will go round and almost all your clients will be too sick to come in)
Start a waitlist - ask people if they would like you to call them if there are any cancellations, if so get their details, say something like "We can book you in in 3 weeks time, but would you like me to call if anything comes up before then?"
If most of these new people are through referrals through existing clients, ask your existing clients to mention how popular you are and the need to book well in advance. If people find you from the web site, put something like "It's best to book 3-4 weeks in advance to get your preferred date and time", that way it won't be a shock to them.

This is an excellent idea! I am sure it's been mentioned somewhere before... but still.... thanks!
I just printed this up with all items centered (for the text here, I had to add in light grey spacers).
It takes up a little less than half a page. I am going to take it to my local copier and ask them tomake
one of those tear-off note pads so I can just put it on the desk and tear them off at the end of the
day/week and toss them.
The wording at the top of the note pad, is just to keep me uniform in my phone presence.

Good on you. Be sure to guard your time off. I didn't used to and regretted it later when I burnt out.
I don't understand it when people are angry. I refer out if they need in quick since there are so many RMTs in my area (and I'm sending all new clients to one young therapist in particular.)
Otherwise they can generally wait because, hey, it's massage therapy, not dialysis.
