I can only assume that they check you out the same way I decide whether or not to daty/dato.

Physical attraction in general or lack of it, clean and healthy appearance, and sense of smell may have a lot to do with it.

I'll be honest and say that, even the few times rimming has been offered to me, I've been too self-conscious to accept the offer.
