I was talking to many women from 16- 20s like me ( I am 24 ) and sex was also the topic but we never met , never cam and I did not plan meetings or whatever , of course theres deviant silly **** and they proposed it, *sex talks *

But now a 16 year old girl mum saw our text and emails and she freaked out lol jesus and she emailed me saying she has contacted the Police and dont contact her daughter again. She is in the States and I am in Ireland. I contact my lawyers they just adviced me to lay low and dont contact her no more since I never had any physical contact and age is always grey online, does that means that upon reaching Boston i will be arrested for silly online sex talk!!! blarrrg!!!!!! Irish friend in Boston police told me not to be silly But I am paranoid eh!
The mum said she is 15!! So I kept all the emails she said she was 16, in Australia, Canada, Britain, Europe age 16 is consensuals and most states in US are 16 too. SO any advice from American who are familiar with the law!

Learned my lesson tho! Damn those teens!

California Penal Code § 272(b)

(1) An adult stranger who is 21 years of age or older, who knowingly contacts or communicates with a minor who is under 14 years of age, who knew or reasonably should have known that the minor is under 14 years of age, for the purpose of persuading and luring, or transporting, or attempting to persuade and lure, or transport, that minor away from the minor's home or from any location known by the minor's parent, legal guardian, or custodian, to be a place where the minor is located, for any purpose, without the express consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian, and with the intent to avoid the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian, is guilty of an infraction or a misdemeanor, subject to subdivision (d) of Section 17

Well if you do not meet up with her or had sex with her or touch her physically its better for you NOT to contact her anymore. The police wont come knocking on your door but they might monitor your emails and activities, this things happens alot in USA where girls 13-15 chat with older guys and like I said DO NOT MEET HER and do not contact her .

In regards to charges the parents can do it but since you are not a US citizen or live here, the kid will be reprimanded and you are suggested not to contact her anymore.

Law enforcements are looking for real phoedophile who preys on 5- 11 year old boys or girls and was or is physically abused,

So lesson learned although you quite safe but alarmed be sure dont talk to them even if they look mature, some of this girls wants attention

Consider yourself very lucky that you did meet up or touche her and never do that!!!

If your layer and the police are telling you it is ok, then I wouldnt be paranoid. The only thing I wondered is if you told them how she sent you nude pics. I;m pretty sure if you still have them on your computer or if her mom can prove you recieved them that is child porn. Dont be too hard on your self, you're not from this country, I highly doubt you could get in trouble. I would let your attourney know about the pics if you havent already. but still dont worry too much. Teens lie all the time, she had no business doing it in the first place, they will look at her part in it as well and how much parental monitoring her parents actually do. We have parental control on our computer.

Most of it isn't a problem. Though you have to know that the US has laws regarding using a computer to entice minors, talking to her about sexually explicit things KNOWING she was a minor can get you in trouble.

That IS a problem!

If she is 15, or even 16 as you assumed she was, you accepted a nude picture of a 16 year old? That alone is possession of child pornography (assuming the pic really is of her)!

This isn't silly. It's serious.

Don't confuse the age of sexual consent with the legal age to produce pornography. Possession of a sexually explicit photo of anyone under eighteen is a crime, both here in the US, and in Ireland.

In the US, it's a felony, and distributing it will get you some hardcore federal prison time, even for a first offense.

A transmitted sexual conversation with a minor is also a crime in the US. (I don't know about Ireland.) The seriousness of that charge depends on the state in which the minor resides, but since you're over 21, it's most likely also a felony.

I hope your serious about having learned your lesson. There's plenty of legal porn on the Internet to go around. Don't risk your future.

The nude pictures on the internet is the new fancy of prosecutors for the protection of minors. prosecutors can charge minors with a felony for sending naked pictures of themselves.

In America the age of adulthood is the guage of it is rape or voluntary sex. In IL it is 18. Anybody under is a minor and can not have sex with and adult and not be considered rape. The parents or legal guardians can press charges if the minor will not.

Police and T.v. shows love catching internet predators. Next time leaving the sex to girls in a bar. Then you could legally say the bar should have carded her, and you had reasonably thought she was an adult. Internet sexual incounters is playing russian roulette with their real age, or if it is a police sting operation.
