In response to some rumors on some other threads, thought I'd remind everyone what is perfectly legal and drop my two cents:

Ontario courts have already upheld that getting a handjob as part of a massage is perfectly legal, so long as it's part of the "full body massage" and not separately negotiated or paid for, and you don't specifically discuss pay for the handjob. Even with this in place, depending on the license, customers and businesses can still get bylaw infractions for stuff like customers being nude, attendants undressing, etc. And cops are assholes so they might hassle you even if what you're doing is legal.

But all that said, some of you openly discussing all the other sexual services you're receiving is destined to to get the attention of law enforcement and it's foolish to expect otherwise. I'm glad some of the well reviewed parlors are having such great success in part because of your reviews and comments. These women deserve to be treated well and also well paid for what they do. But comments openly mentioning all the fun you're all having is going to get a the boys in blue to crack down on massage parlors again. Every few years there's a rush of new places opening, then a legal crack down, most places close down, a few years of very few options, then a rush of new places opening again. The cycle repeats. We've got tons of options right now and it's great. But I'm concerned if we don't smarten up it's gonna get real bad, real fast.

After 2007, Canadian amended its criminal law, explicitly making the purchasing sex a criminal offense. The case you mentioned has limited reference value.
Handjob falls into a typical gray zone—it's not legal, but it doesn't constitute a crime. This is the case worldwide.

The charge of "found in" a common bawdy house no longer exists. That was the charge that was laid against customers long ago.

In this case it was the owner of the spa that was on trail for other charges. He was never tried for getting a handjob.

And there is no way that cop turned down a handjob from a nude attendant twice. Lol!

If a girl offers a happy ending and does not mention a price, then it's legal. If your tip is enhanced after, that is also legal.

Hj is considered body treatments so it's may include in massage. This is realy stupid law provide with s..... x it's legal but pay for that it's illegal so maybe girls need to start volunteer lol

I think there is a large delta in risk, when you weigh any random spa vs a spa under active investigations.

Its poor form to not consider known information when analyzing risk.

What known information - From here. With all these promoters, Entitled Dudes, etc. More misinformation then information.

Places I go to in the west. SL west, Espa, Golden Wellness.
V-zone and Z-zone. I do not go because I know the owner very well.

As far as I know, there is no crackdown like what is happening in the EBC area.

Now, I am concious on looking to see if they are a licenced establishment as opposed to a unlicenced one. Golden Wellness has a licence that shows regular inspections to check on sanitary conditions. Hence, they are busy even with little or no exposure here.

Be honest right now- NOT bylaw, MOL, how many visits have you seen by MOL to spas?

Maybe I had been lucky but I have never seen any visits by MOL, cops or even Bylaw in all of my visits.

Boys in blue. Many times, what is posted here is by someone who is either passing by, going for a session or 2nd hand information. I have so far never heard from a member who had an actual session interrupted by any of these visits. Maybe these members were too embarassed to say, or someone who never come online to MP.

Those who shared that their sessions were interrupted were a long time ago.

These days, By law and especially cops have to be very respectful when inspecting an establishment. Any signs of abuse of power will bring an agressive Lawyer on them so fast that it will make your head spin. This is real lfe in Canada, not the US or what you see on TV.

To make sure of that, for a first visit, By law and MOL will always ask the Boys in Blue to accompany them in part to make sure they do not encounter aggressive owners. Asian owners - mainly females are pretty law abiding but some of those owned by East Europeans can have very agressive owners and lots of rough looking dudes hanging around.

You said you are part of the spa world did you not? And you have never seen inspections... but the spa in question has had SEVERAL from DIFFERENT BRANCHES and you are here like "its all good man"

I am part of the spa world. A big part. And yes, on my part personally I have never seen any visits. All the owners I interact with have also never mentioned any visits. As far as SL west is concerned, I do not know Renee well. We did talk a few times when I happened to see her on my visits but that is very rare as she is seldom there. I cannot say for sure if there was an inspection. However, in my last visit there, there was some testing tapes still attached to the back walking bars - I guess Health and Safety was making sure they were properly installed.

You must know that after a licence had been issued, be it for a restaurant, nail places, hair salons, Health and Safety will always do a follow up inspection a few months after to make sure all the procedures are followed. That is why, Licenced Establishments will have inspections. Unlicence ones NO.

On my last visit, the girl I was with - Cici never mentioned this and I never asked. I am there for 60 minutes of Relaxation and Good Fun. I am there to clear my head, not make it worse.

And yes, if I know for a FACT that a spa is being targeted repeatedly by By Law, MOL or Cops, I will avoid that place just for my peace of mind.

As far as SL West is concerned it is still on my regular rotation of spas to visit and Cici is one of my favourites.

i think specifically for EBC spas - crackdown is supposed to happen tomorrow and some may feel that LE may want to exert pressure today to motivate the spas to comply tomorrow.
